Samsung Electronics has demanded the annulment of a verdict delivered in August in a patent trial against Apple and asked for a new trial, saying jurors acted inappropriately.

IT-focused Web sites CNET and Siliconvalley.com said that Samsung’s lawyers made the request, claiming that the chief of the jury, which deliberated the case in California’s Northern District Court, discussed his personal patent experiences with other jurors.

CNET said that the Samsung lawyers claimed that all jurors must go through additional judicial evaluations regarding their behaviors.

In addition, the lawyers reportedly said that the court should ban both Samsung and Apple from contacting the jury any more.
