New Orleans Man Sentenced to 514 Yrs in Prison

A New Orleans man has been sentenced to hundreds of years in prison for a drug deal gone bad in 2007 that left one man dead and others wounded.

The Times-Picayune of New Orleans reported that the New Orleans Criminal District Court sentenced 32-year-old Anthony Martin to 514 years in prison on eleven counts of burglary, gun possession and drug dealing. The daily said Judge Frank Marullo sentenced Martin as a habitual offender.

In August 2007, Martin broke into the house of a Hispanic laborer with two friends and started shooting. One person was killed and three others were injured in the incident.

Previously, Martin was found guilty for possessing cocaine in 2003.
