Germany Daily Notes Differences Between Senkaku and Dokdo

A German daily says the Senkaku islands differ from the Dokdo islets in that the Senkaku islands are uninhabited.

Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, in an exclusive story, described the Dokdo islets as South Korean territory resided by Koreans.

The report said that in the case of the Senkaku islands, which are at the center of a territorial dispute between Japan and China, even Japanese people have to get permission from the government to enter the islands in the East China Sea.

The daily said that among current democratic and industrialized countries, Japan is the only country that is mired in conflict with its neighbors over territories.

The report said Japan must find the reason for having such conflicts in its history, adding that unlike Germany, Japan has failed to straighten out the dark aspects of its past.
