US Looks Into Defective Santa Fe Steering Apparatus

The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is inspecting an apparently defective steering apparatus of Hyundai Motor’s 2011 Santa Fe models.

The agency says a driver could lose control of the car if a loose bolt separates the steering shaft from the system.

Around 70-thousand 2011 Santa Fes will be subject to the agency’s investigation.

The administration says it received a complaint by a driver who completely lost control of his Sanfe Fe, and Hyundai Motor also received a similar complaint. No accidents have been reported due to the defect.
