Asahi: Family of Kim Jong-un Likely Held Secret Meeting in Singapore

A Japanese daily says North Korean leader Kim Jong-un’s aunt is likely to have met with the young leader’s older half-brother, Kim Jong-nam, in Singapore.

The Asahi Shimbun quoted a senior South Korean government official as saying on Tuesday that Kim Kyong-hui, who is also Secretary for Organization of the Workers' Party, recently visited Singapore and is likely to have met Kim's half-brother in secrecy.

The government official said Kim Kyong-hui returned to the North from Singapore on October fourth and that Kim Jong-nam reportedly was in Singapore around that time.

The latest report comes as North Korean media issued a story about Kim Kyong-hui on October seventh after having halted coverage of her activities from early September. She also failed to appear at a Supreme People's Assembly meeting on September 25th.
