The U.S. House of Representatives has passed a bill that seeks to fund the government through the end of the current fiscal year in September.

The House of Representatives passed on Thursday the bill that eliminated the threat of a government shutdown in a 318-109 vote on Thursday.

House Appropriations Committee Chairman Harold Rogers called the vote a “good start” and said the House of Representative proved that when it sets its mind to it, it “can get complicated, hard things done.”
