South Korea’s defense science and technology level is at 80 percent of the U.S.’

The Defense Agency for Technology and Quality said in a report Monday that South Korea received 80 points on a scale of 100. The U.S.’ defense science level was used as the benchmark and given the full mark.

South Korea ranked tenth among 16 major countries, including France, Russia and Britain. The ranking is up one notch from last year’s eleventh.

South Korea received the highest scores of 83 in military maneuvers. Its score was the lowest in the aerospace sector at 76 points.
