US Int. Trade Commission Finds Samsung in Violation of Apple Patents

The U.S. International Trade Commission has found that Samsung Electronics infringed on four of Apple’s smartphone and tablet PC patents.

The South Korean handset company was found to be in violation of the four patents held by Apple in an initial determination by Administrative Judge Thomas Pender at the commission.

The violated patents include one on touch screen technology jointly developed by Apple founder Steve Jobs.

The commission will make a final decision on whether Samsung infringed on Apple’s patents after reviewing the ruling at a general meeting.
