Oil Tanker Explosion Kills 23 in Saudi Arabia

Twenty-three people are dead and 130 injured after an oil tanker exploded in the eastern part of Saudi Arabia’s capital city of Riyadh on Thursday.

The oil tanker was carrying 17 tons of liquefied petroleum gas when it struck a pole on a highway overpass and exploded.

Dozens of cars caught fire due to the explosion and a nearby factory collapsed from the impact of the blast.

Local media said damage was significant since the explosion was near a gas station.
