Israel Considers Purchase of South Korean Warships

Israel is expected to send a delegation to South Korea to inspect South Korean-made warships they are considering purchasing.

An official from the Defense Acquisition Program Administration said on Saturday that Israel recently expressed interest in acquiring four corvettes produced in South Korea, noting plans to send a team to inspect two shipbuilders within December.

The official said Israel was expected to send a letter of intent to the South Korean government for the transaction in December at the latest.

The ships are one-thousand-400 tons each and cost around 100 million dollars per vessel.
