U.S. media outlets report President Barack Obama has won reelection as of Wednesday afternoon, Korea time.

CNN and MSNBC say Obama is forecast to win at least 274 electoral college votes to secure victory. Fox News and the Associated Press have also projected a win for Obama.

The incumbent's success in carrying Ohio, known as a bellwether in national elections, was critical to his win.

Obama is also carrying the popular vote according to network projections.
