Korean Americans Finish Strong in US General Elections

Around ten Korean Americans were elected at the federal and local levels on Tuesday during the U.S. general elections.

Irvine City Council member, Steven Choi, was elected mayor of Irvine, California. In the nearby city of La Palma, Peter Kim was elected to the La Palma City Council.

Securing reelection were Representative Pak Byung-jin of the Georgia House of Representatives and Cindy Ryu of the Washington State House of Representatives.
