LA Dodgers Bid 28 Bln Won For Hanwha's Ryu Hyun-jin

The mystery bidder for Hanwha Eagles pitcher Ryu Hyun-jin was announced by Major League Baseball on November 10th to be the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The MLB website announced the Los Angeles Dodgers had won the negotiation rights to bring Ryu to their team with the highest bid of roughly 28 billion won.

The Dodgers will now have one month to negotiate the terms of the contract upon which Ryu will be signed over to the American team.

Dodgers general manager Ned Colletti said in an interview with the Associated Press that the team was excited to have the chance to negotiate for Ryu and that he had been watching Ryu’s pitching for a long time.
