Singer PSY's megahit single "Gangnam Style" has received the Best Video award at the MTV Europe Music Awards held in Frankfurt, Germany on Sunday night.

PSY is the first Korean artist to perform at the annual awards, which were broadcast live from Frankfurt's Festhalle arena.

In his acceptance speech, PSY called himself a rookie singer and thanked all the fans of Gangnam Style, especially those in Korea. He also thanked his family for putting up with him, saying a singer is a selfish career.

PSY was also one of the ten people selected in the Countdown 10 shout-out during the award's opening.
