Earthquake Hits Myanmar, 13 Dead

At least 13 people are dead and 40 others injured following a six-point-six magnitude earthquake that struck Myanmar on Sunday, local time.

The U.S. Geological Survey says the quake hit 116 kilometers north of Myanmar's second largest city Mandalay at 7:42 a.m.

In the city of Shwebo, four workers are missing after falling into a river when the bridge they were working on collapsed from the shock of the earthquake. Twenty-five others are believed to be injured in the incident.

A temple collapsed at a village in a nearby city killing two people, and in another village, two people died buried in a gold mine.
