The University of Hong Kong is running a Korean studies program that is opened at the beginning of this semester.

The school made the decision, as a surging number of undergraduate students are choosing to minor in Korean. The university has offered undergraduate students the opportunity to minor in Korean since 2008.

The University of Hong Kong was ranked 34th by Times Higher Education World University Rankings this year. It is the second highest ranked Asian university behind the University of Tokyo.
