2 Koreans Wounded in Shooting in Cebu

Local police are investigating a shooting in the Philippines last month that injured two South Koreans.

The Koreans escaped with only minor wounds when a man opened fire on the car they were riding in front of a hotel on Cebu Island.

Police are using surveillance camera footage to aid their investigation, and they have not ruled out the possibility that the shooting could have been the work of a hired assassin.

South Korea’s Embassy in the Philippines said it requested local authorities to conduct a thorough investigation, noting it wouldn't speculate about a motive until after the probe.
