The 18th National Congress of China’s Communist Party began its final session Wednesday morning.

The session will end after two-thousand-325 delegates to the congress elect new members of the 18th Central Committee of the Communist Party and pass an amendment to the party’s Constitution.

Members of the next top Chinese leadership led by Xi Jinping were chosen during the latest congress through negotiations among major political factions.

The top leadership will be officially elected the day after the congress ends.

The 18th National Congress opened on November eighth.
