U.S. Special Representative for North Korea Stephen Biegun made his second visit to South Korea on Saturday following trips to China and Japan.

Biegun arrived in Seoul on Saturday afternoon. According to a diplomatic source he planned to meet with South Korea's chief nuclear envoy Lee Do-hoon to discuss the talks on North Korea he held in Beijing and Tokyo.

The two are also expected to discuss practical measures to achieve denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula.

The U.S. envoy visited Seoul earlier this week and held talks with his counterpart Lee. He also paid courtesy calls to President Moon Jae-in and Foreign Minister Kang Kyung-wha and other top officials.

During talks with Lee, Biegun said the two sides need to do everything they can to make the most of this moment of opportunity created by the leaders of the two Koreas and the U.S.

He then flew to China where he discussed a political resolution to the North Korean nuclear issue with his Chinese counterpart Kong Xuanyou.
