U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo says he will visit Pyongyang before too long if everything falls in place.
Pompeo planned a fourth visit to North Korea last month for talks on the North's denuclearization, but United States President Donald Trump abruptly canceled the visit.
During an interview with BBC, which was posted on the Website of the State Department on Saturday, the secretary said that he would visit Pyongyang before terribly long if everything falls together.
Regarding a growing possibility of a second meeting between Trump and North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, Pompeo said that it is a good thing.
He said that the leaders of the United States and North Korea would have to make a lot of things happen, adding the United States will continue to work to solve this vexing problem.
Regarding the North's nuclear threat, Peomeo said that there is still a threat, but the good news is the threat is reduced from where it was, citing no test and no missile launches from Pyongyang.
