alien in seoul

Tim

Hi, i'm from Vancouver, Canada, and i visited Seoul in 2011 to see a friend who lives there. Thanks to her, i was able to visit some unusual places that i would not have thought of visiting otherwise. For instance, the palaces, Myeongdong, the COEX Aquarium and the N Seoul Tower were all in the books, but she also took me to a live music club, an enormous bookstore, a Nepalese restaurant, a fishmarket where they cooked the crabs for us, and even a Cat Cafe! We spent about 2 hours there just petting 20+ cats and having them climb all over us purring.. and it was the perfect way to relax after a long day of touring around the city. I know it's not a Korea-only thing, and one even opened in Vancouver since, but still, i'll never forget that feeling of being surrounded by 20 or more cats. Oh, and eating crab roes for the first time in my life was quite interesting too. i would like to eat ganjang kaejang again some time.
