South Korea has secured at least two bronze medals at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics with two of its women table tennis players advancing to the semifinals in separate events.

Seo Su-yeon has reached the semifinals in Women’s Singles Class 1-2 by beating Ana Prvulovic of Serbia 3-0 at the quarterfinal at Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium on Friday.

There is no bronze medal decider in the singles table tennis events at the ongoing Paralympics, meaning anyone reaching the semis secures at least a bronze medal. Seo won a silver medal in the Rio de Janeiro Paralympics in 2016.

Jung Young-a also reached the semis in Women’s Singles Class 5 by beating P. Springam of Thailand 3-1 in the quarters on the same day.

Team Korea has yet to earn a medal of any color at the Tokyo Paralympics, which kicked off a 13-day run on Tuesday.
