Style Tips for Holiday Parties
The end of the year is upon us and that means holiday parties! From work parties to family festivities and friends sharing time together, the special occasions call for looking your very best. To help you achieve the perfect holiday glam look, today I’m going to introduce tips on how to bring glitz and glam to your holiday parties.

Add color to your ensemble
First up, instead of wearing an ugly holiday sweater (decorated with literal interpretations like reindeer and snowmen), experiment with lots of colors that suggest the season. One of the most fun parts of the season is the opportunity to break out party looks that might be considered a little overdone during other times of the year. Bright pops of color are always stylish—you can go for seasonal colors like red and green that you can easily mix and match with other winter staples. You can also go with a shade that is less predictable like magenta, burgundies, and yellow greens and flaunt your fashion sense. Opt for pieces like a perfect red velvet dress, a green satin blouse, a deep crimson sweater, a gold balloon skirt—and put together lovely holiday outfits that make you look festive and fashionable at the same time.

Go sparkly
It’s the perfect time of the year to sparkle and shine. Sequins and shimmering metallic garments are your best bet. For more formal occasions, you can’t go wrong with a sequin or a metallic dress in gold or silver. Choose a midi-length gold dress richly embroidered with sequins but do remember to go subtle on your accessories and let the dress be the focal point of your outfit. Also, go light on the makeup and leave your hair simple—in a sleek low pony or simply let it flowing down the back.

Accessorize, accessorize, and accessorize some more
Accessories are a great way to update any holiday party look. If you are shy about going all out with sparkles and sequins, stick to neutral, solid color outfits but experiment with lots of eye-catching accessories. For instance, the perfect LBD (little black dress) or LWD (little white dress) can be instantly dressed up if you have the right accessories to pair with them. Big bold necklaces, rings, and bracelets are a must for holiday parties—and one thing to keep in mind is to wear them “layered.” When it comes to accessories, the layered look is super hot and trendy this season. Break out of the norm and go for many rings, bracelets, and necklaces at a time—a piece of jewel on every finger worn with multiple layered necklaces is more than acceptable this winter!

Play with these tips and have a fashionable holiday season!
