Park Aeri is a singer of traditional Korean operatic genre of changgeuk. She started singing at the age of 9, and has been singing for some 30 years. Park worked hard just because she loved the traditional Korean songs, and because she loved that there’s a stage on which she could sing. The hard work made her shine brighter, and turned her into an actress who could play any role.



Park also helped teenagers become more familiarized with gugak by collaborating with pop music artists. Since marrying the hip hop dancer Poppin’ Hyun Joon, Park has also been creating amazing collaboration stages with her husband, mixing traditional music together with hip hop and dance.

The strong passion to preserve the traditions, and the willing mind to adapt to changes in order to let the well-preserved tradition be known to a wider audience are what make gugak presented by Park Aeri so much fun.
