“Tell Me” Won’t be Used for Campaigning
Wonder Girls and their agent JYP Entertainment refused all requests from political parties to use their hit “Tell Me” as a campaign logo song.

With the presidential election only three weeks away, four political parties had asked Wonder Girls’ agent JYP Entertainment to let it use “Tell Me” for their campaigns. But the management company refused the requests, saying that the song and its dance moves cannot be given to any one specific candidate. It added that it was inappropriate for the song of Wonder Girls, who are not old enough to vote, to be used for election campaigns and one candidate cannot monopolize the song that has earned nationwide popularity.

Subsequently, presidential candidates are using other songs for their logo songs. For instance, the frontrunner Lee Myung-bak camp has revised the lyrics of Super Junior T’s “Rokugeo” and Park Hyun-bin’s “Believe in Me,” among others, for his campaigning.
