Ibadi is an old Korean word for “party” but it’s also the name of an acoustic project band led by Horan, the female vocalist of Clazziquai. The concert is a celebration of Ibadi’s first album “Story of Us,” filled with frank and natural sounds of acoustic and modern pop. Ibadi’s leader Geo-jeong is already well-known for his musical arrangement work in Lee Seung-hwan and Shin Seung-hoon’s albums. Its bassist Justin Kim is also a talented music producer who took part in the group’s album production. The most distinguishing change will be seen in Horan. She plans to showcase the songs she composed herself and unveil another side of her musical personality marked by emotional subtlety. Just as Clazziquai was a pioneer of Korea’s electronica music, Ibadi is expected to open new fronts in acoustic music through these concerts.
