Ok Joo-hyun is undisputedly one of today’s most talented female vocalists. Her powerful vocal has proven to be perfect for such musical roles as Aida in “Aida,” Roxie Hart in “Chicago” and Grizabella in “Cats.” Ok’s exceptional talent has taken her career to another level since she went solo in 2003. Ok’s solo albums have been very different from the ones by Fin.K.L. in which she was the main vocal. The songs were grander in scale, well suited to Ok’s wide vocal range and fully mature emotions. The title song of her latest album is “Honey,” a slow medium tempo ballad that stands apart from the recent trend of electronic dance songs.
