Today's young Koreans are much taller than their parents’ generation, thanks to improved nutrition and living environment. For quite a while following the Korean War, most Koreans, whether they resided in urban or rural communities, had to worry about where their next meal was coming from. In fact, the government’s top priority in the 1970s was to boost food production. Thanks to the country's steady improvements in economic conditions and changing lifestyles, Koreans now have more things to eat than any other time in history.their physical build has never been better, leading to higher competitiveness and productivity in many areas.
