This last episode of the show takes an overall look at the milestones in Korean history since the country was liberated from the Japanese colonial rule - the establishment of the Republic of Korea government, the devastating Korean War, the ensuing economic development, nationwide struggle and a hard-fought victory for democracy, the hosting of the 1988 Summer Olympic Games in Seoul, the 1997 financial crisis and eventual recovery, the joint hosting of the 2002 FIFA World Cup, and the launch of the Naro rocket.
