2017 Color of the Year
Today I’m going to introduce tips on how to wear Greenery—a milky shade of green chosen as the Pantone Color of the Year for 2017.

According to the Pantone Color Institute—a world-renowned authority on color—this year we are all going green. Dubbed “greenery” which is to say a “fresh and zesty yellow-green shade that evokes the first days of spring,” the hottest color for 2017 is not just any old green, but a crossbreed of yellow and green.

One of the easiest ways to update your look to reflect the latest trends is to incorporate the hottest color of the season—which means, it’s time to fully embrace minty, milky shades of green, the color of regeneration and new life. As a testament to the color’s strength and versatility, “greenery” had a strong showing on the Spring/Summer 2017 runways, giving us plenty of inspiration on how to wear the trend.

One good thing about the trend is that “greenery” is a versatile hue that pairs extremely well with not only neutral colors but also expressive colors such as violet, plum, tangerine and even brick reds. For the office, switch out your regular black blazer for a bright yellow-green jacket and instantly jazz up your outfit. Pair with simple neutrals such as a black turtleneck and a pair of black slacks and give the jacket an extra pop. A variety of winter staples in lovely milky green—everything from loose-fitting sweaters, cardigans to dresses, knit skirts and coats—can be the perfect addition to your otherwise monochromatic wardrobe. For casual outings, pair a greenery high-neck sweater with your favorite classic blue denim jeans. Top off the look with a classic peacoat and a pair of boots and you have a chic outfit.

Lastly, don’t forget to experiment with minty green colored accessories—everything from a furry satchel bag, a velvet clutch to a fedora, pair of ankle boots and so much more and take your look from drab to fab!

Rock the official color of 2017 now and stay stylish!
