Mr. Alex Byrne is the President of the International Federation of Libraries' Associations(IFLA).

IFLA is the largest global body for libraries with more than 150 member states under its umbrella.

This year's meet in Seoul is themed 'The Library is the Dynamic Engine of the Knowledge and Information Society.

About 215 different academic sessions plus 100 business meetings were held during the Seoul IFLA Congress.

'Discussions were focused on underlying issues of information society,' Byrne said.
