As the recent World Cup football tournament proved yet again, people love sports. In fact, athletics are a chief form of entertainment for many, bringing joy, excitement and disappointment to sports fans.
My guest today, Belinda Caldwell, is herself a professional athlete, and Korea’s top-ranked amateur Muay Thai fighter. A resident of Korea for nearly five years, Caldwell converted a childhood in entertainment ? specifically dancing and acting - into a sport that many may not associate with women. And yet, she has successfully added training and refereeing to her portfolio, and is helping to promote a foreign sport on Korean soil. During our interview, I talk with Belinda Caldwell about her Muay Thai fighting career, her thoughts on women in sports, and details about her upcoming time in the ring.
