Members of the six-nation nuclear talks are continuing Friday their discussions in Moscow on regional security issues.

On Thursday, Russia opened the third working group meeting on establishing a peace and security mechanism for Northeast Asia.

According to sources, participants of the talks did not discuss the North’s apparent moves to launch a long-range missile Thursday but instead focused on positive discussions.

Delegates coordinated views on the second draft of a mechanism circulated by Russia that lays out basic principles on building peace and security in the Northeast Asian region. The first draft was drawn up by Russia in December.

The working group meeting is the first time for members of the six-nation nuclear talks to assemble since December.
