Japan Expands Flights to S. Korea

Japanese airlines are expanding flights to South Korea as a growing number of Japanese are looking to travel to Korea amid the increased strength of the Japanese yen against the Korean won.

Japan’s national flag carrier, Japan Airlines, Thursday announced plans to operate three more flights a week on Incheon-Narita route starting March 29th.

Another major Japanese airline, All Nippon Airways, plans to operate seven more flights a week between Gimpo Airport and Kansai International Airport starting in May.

According to the Japan National Tourism Organization, the number of Japanese travelers to South Korea this year has jumped more than 55 percent compared to last year.
