The family of a Japanese woman, who was allegedly abducted by North Korea in 1978 and taught Japanese to former North Korean agent Kim Hyon-hui, will reportedly meet Kim in Busan on Wednesday.

Japanese Foreign Minister Hirofumi Nakasone made the announcement Monday morning, saying that the governments of Japan and South Korea have agreed on the meeting’s schedule.

Kim will meet the elder brother and the eldest son of Yaeko Taguchi in Busan on Wednesday. The three plan to hold a joint news conference following the meeting.

The Japanese government says Taguchi is one of at least a dozen Japanese who remain missing. North Korea admitted abducting her but says she died in 1986, a claim Japan disputes.

Japan’s Chief Cabinet Secretary Takeo Kawamura also welcomed the meeting, thanking the Seoul government and Kim for accepting the family’s request to meet.

Kim was convicted for her part in the 1987 bombing of Korean Air flight 858, but later freed under a presidential pardon.
