Japan’s NHK says North Korea’s Premier Kim Yong-il will visit China soon.

The Japanese broadcaster quoted the North’s state-run Korean Central News Agency as saying that Kim will travel to China on an invitation from Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao.

Kim’s visit comes as Pyongyang is allegedly making preparations to launch a long-range ballistic missile.

NHK added that Kim could be visiting China to discuss the possibility of arranging a visit to Beijing by North Korean leader Kim Jong-il.
