The International Maritime Organization (IMO) has informed its member states on the details of North Korea’s plan to send a satellite into orbit.
The Foreign Ministry said that upon the request of Pyongyang, the London-based maritime agency informed its members early Friday and posted on its Web site a timetable for the satellite launch and the possible landing coordinates.
The maritime organization said North Korea is planning to launch its "Gwangmyeongseong Two" communications satellite on its “Eunha Two” rocket between 2 am and 7 am UTC (11 am - 4 pm KST) between April fourth and eighth.
According to the organization, there are four primary danger zones where the North’s first rocket booster is likely to be shed, including areas in the East Sea, and four secondary zones in other areas of the Pacific Ocean.
Pyongyang has also informed the International Civil Aviation Organization of its plans to launch its experimental communications satellite.
