Time magazine’s online poll of the World's Most Influential People in 2009 includes South Korean pop star Rain and two ethnic Koreans, Michelle Rhee and Jeff Han.

Washington’s school chancellor Michelle Rhee drew much praise for her education reform efforts. Jeff Han is a computer engineer who founded Perceptive Pixel, the producer of multi-touch screens, which allow users to manipulate digital screens using multiple fingers simultaneously.

Pop star Rain appeared on the official Time 100 list in 2006. Although he was left off in 2007 and 2008, he ranked first in ’07 and second in ’08 on the online poll.

Topping the list were comedian Stephen Colbert, U.S. representative and former presidential candidate Ron Paul, U.S. President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama and one of the world’s most successful investors, Warren Buffett.
