NYT: Korean Americans Fighting to Protect Dokdo

The New York Times is recognizing the efforts of Korean Americans in New York fighting to defend South Korea’s territorial rights to the Dokdo islets.

In an online article, the report said the president of the Korean Dry Cleaners Association of New York, Jeon Chang-Duck, was raising awareness on the issue by placing information related to Dokdo on dry cleaning plastic bags.

Jeon ordered 250-thouand bags with the manifesto “Dokdo Island is Korean territory.” He supplied the bags to Korean-owned dry cleaners in New York.
