The Ministry of National Defense said there was no problem in its schedule regarding the nation’s troop dispatch to Afghanistan, despite a delay in attaining an approval. The National Assembly’s green light for the troop deployment has been delayed to February 2010.

The ministry’s spokesman said although the National Assembly had delayed the approval due to internal issues, the July 2010 dispatch would not be problematic, with adjustment in the preparation schedule.

The spokesman explained that preparations would be under way, mainly in parts that do not require the National Assembly’s approval. They include the acclimatization training for the dispatch unit.
