Media outlets of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) have featured South Korea's victory for the massive nuclear power plant contract from the UAE.

In a story entitled "South Korea Emerges Surprise Winner," UAE daily "Gulf News" said Monday that it was a surprise that a South Korean consortium, which barely passed the pre-qualification screening for eligible bidders, was named the successful bidder.

The National, a local daily, said that Abu Dhabi's selection of a South Korean consortium seems to be based on practical reasons free from political consideration.

"Emirates Business" said that the two nations will form a high-ranking committee to boost bilateral cooperation in various area.
