Central Park in New York has hosted a Korean food and culture festival.

The Korean Culture Service and the Korean Cuisine Globalization Committee jointly organized the Saturday event to introduce and promote Korean food.

The festival drew about 50-thousand people and introduced traditional and popular Korean dishes such as kimchi, bulgogi and tteokbokki.

People also tried their hand in making kimchi and hitting rice dough with a mallet.

Visitors who tried Korean food at the festival gave a positive evaluation.

The host organizations will expand the scale of the event next year.
