VOA: No Request for Aid from NK Despite Rain Damage

The Voice of America (VOA) says that North Korea has yet to ask for aid from outside sources despite being hit by recent heavy rains.
The broadcaster quoted a UNICEF spokesperson as making the remark and adding that infrastructure in the North has been damaged by heavy rains and flooding.
VOA said that UNICEF has amassed enough emergency aid supplies to assist 100-thousand people in the event conditions worsen in North Korea.
