Chinese Media Report on NK Artillery Firing

Chinese media have reported about North Korea’s firing of 130 artillery shells into waters south of the inter-Korean maritime border known as the Northern Limit Line on Monday

China's Xinhua News reported on North Korea’s firing by quoting a spokesman for the Defense Ministry in Seoul.
Other Chinese news companies made reports by citing Xinhua and foreign news outlets.

The Huanqiu Shibao, an organ of China’s Communist Party, said that the NLL is a conflict spot between the two Koreas and North Korea fired artillery shells on the last day of South Korea’s recent five-day military drill in the Yellow Sea.

The Chinese Foreign Ministry has yet to make comments on the North Korean firing.
