Ex-PM Named Member of UN Sustainability Panel

Former Prime Minister Han Seung-soo has been named a member of the U.N. High-Level Panel on Global Sustainability.

The panel, composed of 21 former and incumbent global leaders, will for the next 18 months focus on climate change and function as an advisory team to U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.

President of Finland Tarja Halonen and South African President Jacob Zuma will cochair the panel, which also includes former Japanese Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama.
