Japan and South Korea will reportedly join hands to offer overseas development aid to an underdeveloped country.

Japan’s Nihon Keizai Shimbun says the two nations will offer loans next month to finance a road construction project in Mozambique.

The project to build a 350-kilometer road in the northern part of the African country will cost an estimated 304 million dollars. Of that total, Japan will provide 70 billion dollars in loans while South Korea and the Mozambique government will shoulder a combined 58 million dollars. The African Development Bank will provide the rest of the funding needed.
