'NK, China Discussing Jet Crash'

China and North Korea have reportedly begun talks on how to deal with a North Korean fighter jet that crashed in the northeastern Chinese province of Liaoning on Tuesday.

Citing diplomatic sources, Japan's Kyodo News said that a vehicle belonging to the North's consulate general in Shenyang arrived at the crash site Wednesday.

The report said that the North Korean ambassador to China is also believed to have visited the Chinese foreign ministry to discuss response measures to the plane crash.

China's Xinhua News also quoted a Beijing official as saying that China is discussing the crash with North Korea.

The pilot of what reports say was a North Korean MiG-21 fighter jet was killed in the incident.
