International businesspeople from South Korea have opened a three-day meeting in Atlanta to discuss mutual cooperation and to urge for the ratification of the South Korea-U.S. free trade agreement.

Some 200 economic leaders from 61 nations and 111 branches of the World Federation of Overseas Korean Traders Associations and the Korean Trade Association of Southeastern USA will take part.

The businesspeople say they will emphasize the favorable aspects of the free trade agreement, including job creation, economic growth and an increase in bilateral goodwill. They will urge the U.S. Congress to ratify the FTA soon.
