House Minority Leader Urges Swift FTA Ratification

U.S. House Minority Leader John Boehner has called on Congress to swiftly ratify trade accords with South Korea, Colombia and Panama.

In a speech at a ceremony held in Cleveland, Ohio, Boehner stressed Tuesday that the “the trade agreements would level the playing field for American workers, farmers, and businesses and pave the way for creating hundreds of thousands of new jobs here at home.”

Boehner urged Congress to approve the three free trade agreements immediately, saying that passing these trade deals is a critical part of the employment plan that he and House Republican Whip Eric Cantor presented to President Barack Obama last December.
