China's top nuclear envoy Wu Dawei is scheduled to visit Japan after making a stop in South Korea this weekend.

Japan’s Kyodo News said Wednesday that Wu, who visited North Korea last week, will visit South Korea for two days starting Thursday to discuss the resumption of the six-way nuclear talks.
The report said Wu will visit Japan on Saturday to meet with top foreign affairs officials and legislators of the ruling Democratic Party of Japan.

Earlier on Tuesday, Japanese Foreign Minister Katsuya Okada told reporters that Tokyo needs to hear China’s views on the nuclear negotiations while also saying that it is too early to seek the resumption of the nuclear discussions.
